My uncle was Waverly Chapman Ormond who served in the 367th. I am trying to find any information on him.

Just thought I would note that my father in-law (T/Sgt Warren N. [Red] Russell) passed away on 28 March 2008. Red was in the 306th BG 367 BS and the Radio Operator on a B-17G. Their plane left Thurleigh on 22 Feb 1944 and was on a mission to Bernburg. They were shot down at 1503 near Schlebusch. Red was on his twelfth mission when shot down. He bailed out of the plane, was a German POW for 15 months, survived the Death March and was liberated on 2 May 1945.

Tonight I am at home working with a roof over my head and am blessed with a beautiful healthy family. I am forever grateful for the sacrifices that were made during the early 1940s to help secure the freedoms that I enjoy today.

God bless the 306 and Ralph's family for securing our loved ones' history with the 306 museum.

My father, Everon L Chriske was assigned to the 306BG, 339 Sqd. He never talked about what his job was. Since his death I have found pictures and other items that lead me to beleive he was an aircrew member. Any information would be appreciated.

My uncle was left waist gunner on the B-17 41-24478. His plane was shot down by German Fighter pilot Egon Mayer 1-1/2 miles off the coast of St. Nazaire, France on November 23, 1942. It took our family over 65 years to find out what actually happened. Thanks to Peter Fryer, a fellow crew member and POW, we were able to put to rest a lot of questions.
